The Opportunity:
We’re seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager with 10+ years of progressive experience to lead financial planning and accounting initiatives across the firm. This role serves as a key business partner to executive leadership, operations, and project teams, ensuring disciplined financial governance, high-quality reporting, and data-driven decision support across a portfolio of complex design and construction projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure accurate & timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations,
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Manage balance sheet and income statement accuracy
- Oversee international accounting operations and intercompany reconciliation
Financial Reporting
- Lead preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Deliver monthly variance analysis with clear commentary on drivers, risks, and corrective actions.
- Lead external audits, including preparation of schedules and auditor requests
- Coordinate statutory and regulatory reporting requirements as applicable
- Produce executive-level reporting supported by data-driven analysis to inform management decision making
- Monitor and ensure monthly reconciliation of Deltek Vision (internal) and third party (external) accounting records; including Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Management Reports.
- Identify anomalies, departure from US GAAP compliance and firm policies
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year strategic planning, including scenario modeling.
- Provide leadership with financial insight critical to strategic and operational decision-making
- Support ERP and financial system implementations or upgrades
- Manage the close-out of merged and acquired companies, including:
- Planning, directing and coordinating the preparation of final financial statements and tax returns.
- Assisting with preparation and filing of dissolution documents with regulatory agencies,
- Reviewing project contract assignments for accuracy and supporting post-merger integration
- Overseeing assignment notifications for client and vendor contracts.
- Coordinating the discontinuation of service contracts
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Lead cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization
- Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable cycles
- Implement strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve collections
Compliance
- Oversee indirect tax and compliance filings, ensuring all submissions comply with applicable regulations prior to filing with local authorities
Risk Management & Governance
- Strengthen internal controls, risk assessment processes, and delegation of financial authority
- Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and re-engineering of financial processes and procedures
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction operations, including joint ventures and international entities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, with 5+ years directly in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction).
- Deep expertise in project-based accounting, US GAAP, international accounting principles, ASC 606, , and percent-of-completion methodologies.
- Advanced financial modeling and scenario analysis skills using Excel and Power BI; proficiency with Deltek Vision required.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.
Salary Range: $124k - $140k
