Leading international Interior Design and Interior Architecture firm specializing in Luxury Hospitality and Multi-Residential projects worldwide seeks a proven Studio Leader to manage and direct a growing team of designers and architects in the firmí Washington, DC Studio as part of the larger management team of the growing brand. The firm is a distinct brand that is part of a large international Design practice.

The firm values Design, Collaboration and Excellence in all facets of project delivery. Our diverse teams work together regardless of location.


  • Licensed Interior Designer or Architect with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the luxury
  • hospitality design profession. LEED and WELL certifications a plus.
  • Experienced leader of multi-faceted teams of design professionals to achieve fully realized luxury hotel
  • and multi-residential projects worldwide.
  • EMENA experience a plus
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Strong Design Skills
  • Demonstrated business development and client management skills
  • Deep Knowledge of hotel brands and hospitality industry owners
  • Published work
  • Recognized Design Leader
  • Experience with other practice areas such as Senior Living and Retail a plus
  • Recognized Thought Leader
  • Strong Speaking, Writing and Presentation skills
  • Ability to Travel, including extended trips overseas as necessary


  • Manage and grow an integrated team of interior designers and interior architects (currently 10 staff) to
  • design, document and deliver highly detailed luxury projects.
  • Secure new work
  • Mentor Staff
  • Manage client relationships
  • Work with other Studio Leaders as part of the management team of the brand
  • Write Proposals and Set Fees for new work
  • Manage projects in the studio to profitability
  • Work with leaders in the larger firm on key initiatives


  • At least one reference from a senior level brand representative (Marriott, Hilton, Accor, etc.)
  • At least one and preferably several Client references
  • Senior level Vendor and/or Publication representative references
  • Former staff members managed by the candidate
  • Former managers to whom the candidate was a direct report
