Assistant Digital 3D Artist

The 3D artist will supplement the existing visualization capacity at Perkins Eastman, assisting with and participating in all aspects of modeling, rendering architectural artwork.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enhance visualization support to the Perkins Eastman design community.

  • Reporting to the visualization manager, working closely with design teams.

  • To assist with digital visualization, at all stages of design, Concept through to Detail, and conceptual to photo-real, still and animated.

  • Interior and exterior lighting and rendering.

  • Post-processing of still and animated artwork.

  • Developing, categorizing and cataloguing asset libraries, 2D and 3D.

  • Translating data from a wide range of modeling software.

  • Geometry correction, optimization and enhancement

  • Assisting with all tasks involved in the creation of images and animations.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a digital architectural visualization role preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Architectural background preferred.

  • The ability to communicate efficiently with architectural design teams and rapidly grasp design intentions.

  • Proficiency with 3sdMax, VRay, Photoshop, After Effects.

  • Knowledge of Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Sketchup data translation and trouble-shooting.

  • An enthusiasm for illustration, architecture and presentation

  • Willingness to undertake any task in pursuit of the goal of creating appropriate and beautiful artwork.

  • An ability to clearly delineate and focus on the end result.

  • Awareness of illustrative concepts of composition and lighting.

  • Flexibility to work to tight deadlines.

  • Ability to problem-solve, take the initiative, work individually or as part of a team.
