Project Manager III - Healthcare

The Project Manager is a project leadership position with responsibility for architectural design and technical production of projects.  We are seeking an individual with strong technical and communication skills working within the design team to create exemplary buildings to seuit clients' and users' needs.   The Project Manager will manage the multi-projects from inception through completion including all design phases, client interaction, schedule and financial performance. We seek a self starter with strong organizational, communication and leadership skills as this will be essential. Experience with managing healthcare projects and the ability to assist with business development for new project work including proposal preparation and interviews.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the studio and leaders with generating Design Services Proposals.

  • Ability to manage, retain and build client relationships.

  • Understand contracts and run projects from inception through to project closeout.

  • Manage project teams of up to 10 people per project, determining staffing assignments required to meet project milestones.

  • Mentor and supervise staff professionally.

  • Strong relationship, client building and networking with Healthcare clients and industry colleagues.

  • Serve as the primary project contact to ensure communication is maintained and reporting schedules are adhered to.

  • Lead/assists a project team in development of the aesthetic and technical design and the preparation of architectural design and construction documents including drawings and specifications.

  • Leading all technical drawing reviews.

  • Manage annual sales and business development proposal.

  • Lead problem solving resolutions and escalate when needed for client satisfaction.

  • Coordinates work with consultants and develops strong client relationships.

  • Prepare project code review.

  • Responsible for all aspects of project management including budgeting, staffing, billing and consultant billing.

  • Responsible for day-to-day control and management of the architectural team (design through contract documents and contract administration) as well as the client and consultant teams.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

  • Ability to assist in proposal writing and attending interviews for potential projects.

  • Collaborates with or serves as the Project Designer for the design of the project.

  • Develops, checks and coordinates technical aspects of the design of a project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture is required.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience

  • Must have senior level experience; having been on track for Principal Ownership.

  • Healthcare experienced required.

  • Higher Education Science and Technology experience desired.

  • Substantial CA experience (submittal, RFI, ASI review/response and consultant coordination), ability to detail (exterior) is required.

  • Strong communication skills, articulate, graphic, organization, technical verbal and written skills.

  • Experienced in Institutional and Healthcare projects desired.

  • Strong Business development skills and client relationship building and maintenance.

  • Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design; 3D software such as Sketchup is required.

  • Proficient with other data management software such as Word and Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience in and readiness to lead the technical details of projects.

  • LEED Accreditation strongly preferred.

  • License required.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
