Junior Reporting Analyst

Position will assist the BI team, who is responsible for providing actionable information for the organization to support strategic and business decisions while utilizing SQL and other analytical tools such as R Studio, PowerBI, Plotly. This position will work on projects both independently and with the Business Intelligence Manager to develop and maintain various reports and data models.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in developing metrics, reports, and analyses to drive success within the firm
  • Produce recurring reporting and validate results 
  • Augment staff in support of ad hoc analyses and reporting
  • Perform and document Quality Assurance of the data results
  • Assist with writing SQL for data variance research and small ad hoc requests to assist the team with their workload
  • Document gaps in our data collection, communication, processes and platform capabilities
  • Actively seeks assistance as needed but demonstrates learning and growing independence

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in BI reporting analysis tools, like PowerBI, Plotly, Tableau
  • Ability to learn quickly and change direction on short notice. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
  • Intellectual curiosity; not satisfied with checking off the box and crunching the numbers – quick to extract the truly meaningful findings and explaining how they impact the business
  • Practical business experience Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with SQL and R - Python a plus
